The Video Cam Scout is completely programmable.  All programming is done using the hand held remote and easy to follow on screen menus.  There are 5 express settings that are pre-programmed and can be customized.  The factory programmed express settings are show in the following table.

There are 5 basic recording modes and these are as follows:

1) Triggered: AC power applications.  The recorder remains powered in standby mode and records when triggered.

2) Triggered Low-Power:  Battery power applications.  The recorder powers down in standby mode, until triggered.

3) Continuous:  AC power applications.  The recorder records continuously once armed.

4) Video Triggered:  AC or Battery power applications. The recorder remains powered in standby mode and records   when video is detected.

5) Video Triggered Low Power:  AC or Battery power applications.   The recorder powers down in standby mode until video is detected.

Record Time After Trigger

Selects after trigger record duration.

24 options: 15, 30, 45 seconds; 1-20 minutes, or until EOT (End Of Tape).

 

Auto Rewind

Three options: No (default), Yes or Protected

No: Stops recording at the end of tape.

Yes: Automatically rewinds and re-records tape.

Protected: Rewinds/Re-records but saves triggered events.

 

Exit Delay Time

User specified exit delay (time until system accepts triggers after being placed in the ARM position).

Six options: None (default), 1 thru 5 minutes.

 

Clear Event Memory

Two options: No (default) or Yes

No: Saves memory

Yes: Clears memory

 

Use Timers

User programmable On/Off times.

Two options: No (default) or Yes

No: Turns off timers

Yes: Allows timer use

 

Setup Timers

Two options: No (default) or Yes

No: keeps current settings

Yes: allows timer setup

 

Timers

Start/stop:  Allows  specific start and stop time settings for each day of the week

Action settings: Accept or Block

Accept: System is activated by trigger

Block: System ignore triggers
